NFFL: Manchester Titans Join National Flag Division For 2026
Manchester Titans Join The National Division in the NFFL For 2026
We’re excited to announce the inclusion of the Manchester Titans in the new National Division of the National Flag Football League (NFFL). The Manchester Titans have been a permanent fixture in the Premiership Division of the NFFL since 2018. This year they will join the Aberdeen Oilcats, Edinburgh Outlaws, Glasgow Hornets, Grangemouth Broncos, and the Manchester Crows in the Northern Conference of the National Division.
“The league’s progression to a three-tier structure reflects the growth of the game nationwide, not just within our club. This evolution has created an opportunity for us to compete at the highest level of the sport.” said Richard McEwen, Manchester Titans’ Head of Mixed Flag Football. “The Titans have earned their place by consistently qualifying for National Finals since 2018. This year, we will be competing against the top teams in the country, with the goal of once again reaching the National Finals in September.”
This step up to the National Division is not only a fantastic opportunity for our First Team, but also the Mixed Adult Flag programme as a whole. The change from a two-tier structure to a three-tier structure means the Manchester Titans now have one team in each tier: the Manchester Titans in the National Division, the Manchester Titans Bees in the Premiership, and the Manchester Titans Tridents in Division 1. There are clear progression pathways for all our players and opportunities to compete at every level of the game.
Manchester Titans Flag Head Coach Alan Mead said he’s “really happy that the club has a team in the new top level of the league” but also in the other tiers of the league, adding that “there's a place for everyone at the Titans.”
The Manchester Titans will play all their Northern Conference opponents twice in a double round-robin over four weekends from April-June, starting in Edinburgh on 25-26 April. They will also meet their Southern Conference counterparts for some cross-conference games in an NFFL Super-Weekend on 25-26 July right here in Manchester. The season will conclude at the National Finals Weekend on 12-13 September.
