Titans Women Kick Off 2026
Titans Women Kick Off Rookie Sessions For 2026
Titans Women Kick Off 2026 With Successful Rookie Session
On a sunny Saturday morning in Audenshaw last week, the Manchester Titans Women's Contact team came together for the first time in 2026. Whilst the pitch was more suited to an Ice Hockey squad, aptly demonstrated by DB Chloe, the Titans were determined to make the most of it. After a quick round of introductions for the key members of the coaching and management team, Titans new and old got down to the first warm-up of the season.
Many of the movements seen in the opening part of the session had more place in a Monty Python sketch than on the field, but the warmup did the job, with many players starting to take off some of the many layers needed for this arctic expedition - except Bonner, who seemed to get more clothing on the further through the session we got.
Fundamentals was the focus of the day, and not just because BAFA told us we have to. All of the players got chance to try different types of blocks, and the O-Line got the chance to show how difficult it is to demonstrate footwork after 4 months of mental reps in hibernation. The session was rounded off with some throwing and catching practice, with the sun causing some additional challenges for those on the wrong side of the field, though it was noted that the sun was blamed for several fumbles by players with their back to it too...
In all, the Titans got the chance to have a great session with a new coaching set up, meet new players, and catch up with old friends, and we're ready to get contracts signed and get into the 2026 season!
There are two more open sessions for rookies to get involved with our Women’s Team before the season starts for real. One session today at Belle Vue Stadium at 2pm, and another on Tuesday 20 January at 8-10pm, also at Belle Vue Stadium. See you there!

Sport England Crowdfunder Raises £10,000
Manchester Titans secure £10,000 for new equipment. Thank you to everyone who helped us raise funds!
Titans Secure £10,000 For New Equipment
After a very successful couple of years of high recruitment, our club is the largest it has ever been with more members playing contact football for the Manchester Titans than ever before. Our fortunate position does however mean we have had to significantly invest into our stock of helmets and pads. To help us do this, Sport England pledged to match funding up to £5,000 to help us update and upgrade our stock of American Football equipment.
As a community club we have always prided ourselves on our ability to provide equipment to our rookies and our youth teams to lower the financial barrier to what is already quite an expensive sport. This is something we are passionate about maintaining. Our Sport England Crowdfunder has been crucial to our continued ability to do this for our members and the support we’ve received from the community has been absolutely fantastic.
Your generosity means we can keep kitting out our players in some of the best and safest equipment on the market, bringing in new players who otherwise would not be able to afford it, and allowing our youth programmes to thrive.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who donated to help us reach our goal. Thank you for your part in helping to make sure American Football is for everyone, regardless of their background.
A special thanks and shout-out to Louis Wong (pictured), one of our youth players, who ran a 10k to help raise funds for the club. What an amazing achievement!

Titans to compete in CEFL 2026
The Titans return to the CEFL in 2026!
Manchester Titans return to the CEFL in 2026
We are excited and honoured to announce we have been invited to take part in the Central European Football League for the 2026 Championship!
The tournament will kick off on 25 April with Champions and Finalists from different European countries competing for the title of European Champion. There is no group stage in this tournament: the winner of each game will progress to the next round so the stakes are high!
Our first match up will be on Saturday 16 May in the second round of the tournament. We will be traveling to the beautiful shores of Lake Geneva to face none other than the reigning European and French Champions, the Thonon Black Panthers. This will be a very exciting challenge for our team and we relish the opportunity to test ourselves against some of the very best Europe has to offer.
Fellow British competitors the Bristol Aztecs - the current British Champions - host the Belfast Trojans on 25 April to see who will face Polish Champions the Warsaw Eagles in the second round. It’s definitely an exciting time for British American Football!
Stay tuned for news about the British Premiership fixtures to find out when and where you can watch us play in Manchester. There is plenty more football to come in 2026!
