The Manchester Titans are looking to recruit a new Head Coach for their Women’s Contact Team ahead of the upcoming Sapphire Series. We are looking to recruit an experienced and passionate coach to help lead the team through the next competition cycle and build on the progress made by the team so far.
The vacancy arises following the departure of the previous Head Coach, David Stretch.
Charlie Novak, Head of Women’s Football said: “I would like to express my thanks to Coach Stretch for all his efforts and hard work over the last year as Women’s contact team head coach. He should take credit for the development of the team and coaches, and we wish him luck in his future coaching endeavours.”
Since the teams conception in 2014, the Women’s team have competed against the top flight teams with in the British American Football Women’s league and have competed in Division One since the reshuffle of leagues in 2016. As women’s football develops the new Head Coach must be able to adapt to the changes, including a shift from 7v7 to potentially 9v9 in the coming seasons.
The Women’s Head Coach is accountable for developing a strong programme to compete with the best in women’s football. Key tasks will include overseeing the organisation of training sessions and game days and developing a coaching team with dedicated positional coaches. Applicants should have a minimum of BAFA Level 1 and two years of coaching experience, it is preferable they have experience of 7v7 format of the game however not essential.
