Under 19’s 2015 Season Preview

With another season is about to start here at Manchester Titans and it has already been quite a busy time. With both Coach Higgins and Coach Bowyer leaving us to relocate in the South, Coach Phill Chapman has re-joined the Titans to be the new Under 19s Head Coach. Coach Chapman started out as a Junior Player himself and after a couple of years away from the Club, we are delighted for his return and we believe he is the right man to take the Junior Team forward for another successful year.

After an amazing last season, we were sad to see several players move away from our Under 19s team, but delighted two of our dedicated long serving players; Nathan Chrimes and David Blake, take the step up to the Titans Adult contact team, to continue their progression with our club.
The Under 19s to Adult jump is always one of the hardest to bridges to cross, yet I believe that the hard work these players have already demonstrated time after time with the Junior Team, will ensure they will become integral players to the Senior Team. The Titans have also welcomed players from University programmes such as University of Manchester Tyrants, MMU Eagles and Glasgow University Tigers into our ever growing family.

We are excited to announce that our Junior Team will be taking part in BAFANL Under 19’s – English Championship league, where we will have the chance to play our local rival teams; Lancashire Wolverines, Merseyside Nighthawks and for the first time, Birmingham Lions, Chorley Buccaneers and Leicester Falcons. These some of the great teams and we will be excited and ready to play in this coming year.

We really hope to see you all come and support our Team on 17th May 2015 for our opening game vs. Merseyside Nighthawks. It’s going to be a great season.
