Titans Receive Great Sport Funding Grant

The Manchester Titans have been successful in gaining funding from Greater Sport’s Satellite programme. The satellite clubs are local sport and physical activity clubs designed around the needs of young people to provide them with positive, enjoyable experiences that make it easy for them to become active or to develop more regular activity habits.

The funds will allow Titans to target young people aged 14-19 by running regular weekly activity. The new activities will be:

  • A new Schools Flag programme, run in conjunction with The Manchester College, focused in Ardwick to reach young people in central and south of Manchester – Starting in June
  • A third U17 Contact team based in Chadderton to reach young people in Oldham – Starting in October
  • Growth of our U17 North team in Blackley to reach young people in North of Manchester –  Running now on Sunday’s (14:30-15:30)

If you’re 14-19 and want to get involved in one of our new activities or any of our existing teams, get in touch by emailing recruitment@manchestertitans.co.uk or message us on our social media pages. All new participants will get a chance to play in the Titans mini games over the summer, with more opportunities to take on the sport.

Caleb Jackson committee member for Club community development said, ‘Its another opportunity to extend the sporting offer beyond Manchester and get more young people playing this game. Grassroots is a serious focus here and we are serious about the future of football. This is another step in creating a Greater Manchester Wide programme’.
