Titans Women’s team player and academy graduate Keely Edmonds is on her way to Finland to play 11 v 11 Football for the Jyvaskyla Jaguars in the Finnish Maple Women’s League. The Jaguars play in the 1-Division which is the 2nd of 3 tiers in Finland and will face the Mikkeli Bouncers, Hynvinkaa Falcons, Raisio West Coast Phoenix and Tampere Saints. The season start on 21st May and runs through to the play-offs in September.
Keely joined the Titans U17 team in 2015 and played for two season as both a running back and wide receiver, a key part of the 2016 team that made the Britbowl plate national finals she scored a Touchdown at the finals tournament against the London Warriors. Keely has also played for the Titans Women’s team, playing in the Opal Series (flag) in 2015/16 season and both the Opal and Sapphire Series (full contact) in 2016/17.
A young players, her stats from the 2016/17 show how quickly she has developed, in Opal she threw 2 passes, 1 for a touchdown, carried the ball 10 times for a total of 48 yards and made 26 catches for 205 yards scoring 2 touchdowns and 2 PATs. During the recent Sapphire Series she made 12 carries for 46 yards and caught 5 passes for 33 yards, running home 2 PAT attempts. Keely impresses with her tenacity in blocking situations and speed when carrying the football, she possesses a fantastic spirit and never say die spirit that despite being one of the youngest players at the Titans lifts the players around her.
