The Great Britain Lions roared into action on Saturday 24th June as they kicked of the 2017 Women’s World Championship in Canada with a fantastic 27-21 victory over Finland.  The two teams had met in 2015 in the final of the European Championships with the Fins running out 50-12 winners against a Team GB contained three Titans players; Sian Perry, Louise Fitzsimmons and Emily Parkinson.

The Titans are being represented in Canada by Running Back Sian Kersse, she was in excellent form for the Titans in 2017 scoring 16 touchdowns and racking up over 500 yards in just 7 games.  Sian carried the ball and blocked from both tail back and full back in the opening game as the Lions put on a huge goalline stand as time expired to take the victory.
