Rookie camps are a huge part of our recruitment drive. Everyone is welcome and it’s a great opportunity to try American Football for the first time. You will get a taster of all the positions on a team and help you decide if American Football is for you.
The dates are 25/11/2012 and 2/12/2012 and will take place at Salford City Stadium
Players need to arrive for 11:00 to allow time to get changed and register. A briefing of the days events will begin at 11:30 with all participants taking the field at 12:00 for warm ups. The training session will finish at 14:00 at which point there will be a debrief and an opportunity to ask any of the coaches, players or management team questions. There will be showers and changing facility’s available both before and after the event.
Whats the cost? – Each session will be £5 per person.
How old do I need to be? – We have 3 teams, Youth (14-16), Junior (16-18) and Senior (18+). This is based on the age you are at the start of the season so if you are 13 now and your birthday is in February you can still play :D
How will I know where to go? – We will have stewards placed around the site who will me more than willing to direct you on your way.
Where are we training? – The sessions will take place on the 3g AstroTurf pitch to the right of the stadium. Please where appropriate foot where. Molded Studs, AstroTurf football boots or trainers (although slippy). We do not recommend the use of blades.
What should I wear? – Appropriate athletic clothing for a cold winters day. We would not recommend shorts and a T-Shirt, this is Manchester after all.
Can I bring my parents/guardian/friend to watch? – Of course there will be members of the management team to answer any questions they may have.
Can I attend both Camps? – Yes you are more than welcome too.

Just because you do not want to play football does not mean you are not welcome at the Titans. If you have a passion for the sport and would like to become a volunteer you are more than welcome to attend and have a chat with our management team.
