The Manchester Titans, sponsored by Manchester Printers have a huge weekend of football with 3 teams in action across the 2 days.
The Youth Team (ages 14-16) play in an away tournament on Saturday in Chorley and will be looking to bounce back from some tough losses in last week’s home tournament. With injuries to some key players, it will be up to the rest of the team to step up and lead the way.
The Junior Team (ages 16-19) kick off at 12noon at home on Sunday with a fixture against Burnley Tornados. With a playoff place on the line, the Titans Offense needs to continue the success they had against Merseyside, scoring 36 points.
At 3pm, the Senior (Adult Contact) Team, take on the Merseyside Nighthawks in potentially their biggest game of the year. The Nighthawks are currently sitting atop the division with a 6-0 record. Manchester can still win the division title if they win out from here. Manchester will also be looking to avenge last season’s 34-34 tie which allowed Merseyside to qualify for the playoffs. With everything to play for, it should be a great game.
The home games are on the Community Sports pitch outside the AJ Bell Stadium. Admission is free and there’s plenty of free parking available, and with the weather set to be another scorcher, the Titans will be looking forward to your support.
