With all 3 Manchester Titans teams in action this weekend, it’s sure to be a good football weekend in the sun.
On Saturday the new 5 Man Youth Team head up to County Durham to take on the DC Presidents, Woodham Warriors and Burnley Tornados. It’s sure to be a tough challenge for HC James Bowyer and his team but they should be up for the test.
On Sunday, the Junior team kick off at 12noon with a game against the Coventry Jets. The Juniors will be looking for their first win of the season and should hopefully have some players returning after absence due to exams.
Then the Seniors look to get the season back on track with a game against the Staffordshire Surge which should kick off around 3pm. After 2 straight losses, the second by only a point in Shropshire, Coach Dias will not allow his players to under-perform against a small Surge squad whom Manchester beat both times last season. Look to QB Alan Mead to add to his 10 TDs passing with his squad of speedy wide receivers.
With the weather scheduled to be warm and sunny, it’s a great opportunity to head down to Salford City Stadium and catch the Titans in action. Remember, admission is free and there’s food available to purchase. And, as if you need another reason to attend, there’s a Beer Festival going on at the Stadium all this weekend.
