Rookie camps are a huge part of our recruitment drive. Everyone is welcome and it’s a great opportunity to try American Football for the first time. You will get a taster of all the positions on a team and help you decide if American Football is for you.

What’s a rookie camp?

A Rookie Camp is a day where new players can come down and try out American Football. There will be coaches present to assist you as you try out the skills required by the different positions of the sport. Each camp costs £5. There’s no commitment to join the team at this time.

How old do I need to be?

We have 5 teams, Under 17s (14-16), Under 19s (16-18), Adult Flag (16+), Adult Contact (19+), and Ladies (16+ for Flag, 18+ for Contact). These age groups are based on your age on January 1st 2016.

Where are we training?

The sessions will take place on the 3g AstroTurf pitch to the right of the AJ Bell Stadium. Please wear appropriate footwear: Molded Studs, AstroTurf football boots or trainers (although may be slippy). We do not recommend the use of blades.

What should I wear?

Appropriate athletic clothing for a cold winters day. We would not recommend shorts and a T-Shirt, this is Manchester after all. Gumshield/Mouthguard is optional. There are showers and changing facilities available.

Can I bring my parents/guardian/friend to watch?

Of course there will be members of the management team to answer any questions they may have.

If you have any other questions please email recruitment@manchestertitans.co.uk and we shall happily answer them for you.

Just because you do not want to play football does not mean you are not welcome at the Titans. If you have a passion for the sport and would like to become a volunteer or interested in coaching please email info@manchestertitans.co.uk
